TOPLOADER (EGo3 Filter 5): One filter model replaces dozens of different cartridge filters installed in a round slot
There are many hot tub manufacturers who install hot tub filters in a round slot. These come in various designs. But they almost always have one thing in common: the slot has a diameter of 150mm. And we at Ego3 have used this commonality to cover all these cartridge filter variants with just one filter. No matter if your old filter has an internal, external thread, or no thread at all, if the slot where the filter is installed is 150mm, then the Ego3 Toploader fits.
This made the Toploader model our BEST-SELLING HOT TUB FILTER with more than 10,000 units in use!
Can be used with all the following filter systems:
1) in the round slot with 2 floating rings as skimmer above (e.g. Armstark Sundance 680, various Wellis models)

2) in the round slot with a floating tube as skimmer

3) in the round slot with a hat-shaped upper finish

INSTRUCTIONS: How do I switch from cartridge filter to toploader?
- Remove all previous parts! Attention, some versions still have a finishing ring at the top of the slot (e.g. picture in variant 2), which reduces the diameter at the top. This also needs to be removed.
- Fill the toploader with 12-14 filter balls.
- Carefully and slowly slide the toploader into the slot for the first use. There are 3 felt gliders around the circumference of the toploader. These must stay nicely in position. They ensure that the filter does not float up later and stays in place. The felt gliders now adjust exactly to the distance between the filter and the slot.
- Push the toploader into the shaft until the toploader lid rests on the upper shaft edge. This prevents the filter from being pulled further into the shaft and keeps it in position.
- With that, you are already done.

Hot tub Guru tips
Why does the toploader work so excellently?
- It filters the entire diameter vertically. Dirt cannot settle anywhere in the shaft and cause contamination.
- Changing and cleaning is extremely fast.
- The entire 3D filter material is always used.
When can I not use the toploader?

VARIANT 1 is the right one for the Ego3 toploader model. The shaft is straight and has a diameter of 150mm.
VARIANT 2: If the shaft is larger than 150mm! VARIANT 2 - then you need an EGo3 filter with thread!
VARIANT 3: If the shaft is not always 150mm but suddenly becomes smaller in the middle! Unfortunately, we do not have an Ego3 filter for this!
WARNING: Toploaders do not work with pressure filter systems such as those from Hydropool! If there is a screw-on lid above the shaft, meaning water is not sucked into the shaft from above, then Ego3 will not work. The water is drawn in from a completely different place and comes into the shaft through a hose inside the shaft.
